The Coiner-Falham Precognitive Sequencer is used to semi-safely navigate liminal spaces. The technology is still experimental, which means that it can occasionally malfunction. The incident at the Greenland research facility caused all of your colleagues to disappear, leaving you trapped at the edge of an unknown liminal subspace.

Your last hope of escaping is to use the sequencer to navigate the unpredictable subspace region.

I like the style.A bit too much Space key hits required. Maybe I'd try to put the sequencer on a HUD display that briefs the player on the fly. But then it wouldn't be a partial text adventure anymore.

Are the bad endings (e.g. "lost forever", "you made a terrible mistake") unavoidable, or am I doing something wrong?

They are avoidable (in terms of how you play your route in the sequencer text adventure at the beginning).

In the game jam version, there is no way to go off-route after the sequencer closes but it was originally planned (along with a bunch of other nuances).
